The Toro Company has developed an all-new, multi-lingual website dedicated to Toro’s Lynx® Central Control, a product that puts complete golf course irrigation system information at a superintendent’s fingertips. The website toro.com/lynx, features video interviews with golf course superintendents explaining how Lynx helps them conserve water, save time and manage irrigation schedules. In addition to the video clips, users can download product information, submit questions, and locate the nearest Toro distributor.

“One of the best ways to learn more about a product is to hear from actual customers who have experienced it,” says Marco Cappelli of The Toro Company. “This new website gives our customers a chance to hear from other golf course superintendents, in their own words, how Lynx is working for them.”

In one video, Jeff Johnson, superintendent at The Minikahda Club in Minneapolis, explains a benefit of the system this way: “Having a system like Lynx just allows you flexibility to be on the go and check what’s happening with the irrigation system, or make those decisions to turn on irrigation heads without having to drive across the golf course to turn it on at a satellite.”

In another video, Brandon Schindele, superintendent at Edina Country Club in Edina, Minn., adds: “Playability is the ultimate goal for a golf course superintendent. They want the golf course to play fast; they want it to play firm. Having an irrigation system that allows me to create those conditions is huge, and Lynx lets me do that.”

Several video case studies from Millennium Golf in Behringe, Belgium, also explain why a course should choose Toro and the Lynx Central Control system. “Why Toro in three words? I’d say: true partner. And I’d say: technologically innovative,” says Sebastian Dohmen, Millennium Golf general manager.

The Lynx Central Control System was designed to make all essential course irrigation information available in one place, allowing superintendents to make quick management decisions. The intuitive interface allows instant access to information from multiple sources, including weather stations, pump stations, electrical systems, sprinklers, intelligent field controllers and Toro Turf Guard® wireless soil sensors.
