Club Managers gather for European Conference

On 2-4 February 2012 more than 100 Club Managers from across Europe gathered at the Hotel Husa Princesa in Madrid for the European Conference on Club Management.
The Conference, which was held over two days, had a programme which was packed with subjects and issues relevant to the Club Management profession and a first class line up of speakers was organised to present.
Speakers included the ever popular Gregg Patterson, Manager of the Beach Club in Santa Monica, gave delegates the benefit of his years of experience in Club Management and giving his advice in Human Resources and motivating your team.
Also speaking was Javier Reviriego the GM at Valderrama Golf Club, one of Europe’s most prestigious golf clubs, who gave his insight on risks and opportunities on managing a resort and Bill Sanderson from the Golf Business Coach inspired delegates with his ideas for Key Business Strategies for Golf.
Jerry Kilby the CEO of the CMAE presented the CMAE’s latest education initiative – The Management Development Programme (MDP) which received much interest from all delegates.
The Conference was jointly organised by the CMAE and ClubManagerSpain and had Managers from Spain, Portugal, Italy, UK, Ireland and Sweden attend the annual event which included a Networking Dinner on Friday evening.
New Board come on board at CMAE AGM!
The CMAE was delighted to have three members newly elected onto the Board at the recent CMAE AGM held at Hotel Husa Princesa on the 2nd February 2012.

General Manager, Kings Hill Golf Club
Kings Hill Golf Club enjoys an enviable reputation as being part of the overall Kings Hill development, the largest mixed-use community project in the UK. The club developed in 1995 has become an integral part of an ongoing development comprising 2500 homes and 2 million square feet of Office space and other associated leisure space right in the heart of Kent.
The General Manager’s role will be to provide business leadership for the club.
